Maria (Martins) Cabral

FALL RIVER… Maria (Martins) Cabral, 69, of Fall River, died Monday at Country Gardens Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the widdow of the late Jose Cabral.

Born in Feteiras do Sul, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Jose and Maria Jesus (Elias) Martins; she lived in this city for the past 47 years and was a parishioner of Santo Christo Church.

Mrs. Cabral was a former Seamstress for several years with U.S. Tailor. She enjoyed crafts, cooking, and gardening.

She is survived by her three sons Joseph M. Cabral (fiancé Melanie MacDonald),  Michael M. Cabral and Kevin M. Cabral, all of Fall River; a sister Filomena Couto and her husband, Jose, of Fall River; her four brothers Gilberto Martins of Swansea, Ramiro Martins and his wife, Gilda, Jose Martins and his wife, Dorvalina, and Daciel Oliveira and  his wife, Idalina, all of Fall River; four granddaughters Hailey Marie Cabral, Alexis Payton Cabral, Hayley Chahlynn Durand, and Brooklyn Elizabeth Harrison; her great grandchild Elijah James; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late David Martins.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 8 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St. Fall River, MA 02724 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM at Santo Christo Parish, Columbia St. Fall River. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Friday, from 5 – 8 PM.
