Maria C. Lima

Maria C. Lima, 86, of Fall River, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023, at Kimwell Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Fall River.

She was the widow of the late Jose Ambrosio Araujo.

Born in Vila Franca do Campo, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Manuel De Lima and Maria Da Conceicao.

Maria was a communicant of Santo Christo Church and a life-long homemaker. She loved cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Antonio J. Araujo (wife Gilberta), Maria Lourdes Botelho (husband Joao), Maria Rita Lourenco (husband Joao), Maria Da Conceicao Moreira (husband Manuel), Angelo Miguel Araujo (wife Sarah), and Rui P. Araujo; 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Norberto Pimentel and Edmundo Pimentel, and was predeceased by one grandchild.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, November 8, from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St, Fall River, at 8 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM, at Santo Christo Church. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Tuesday evening, from 5 - 8 PM.
