Maria A. dos Reis

FALL RIVER….Maria A. (Dianisio) dos Reis, 97 of Fall River passed away October 12, 2018 at the Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Center.

She was the widow of Silvino M. dos Reis.

Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Jose do Rego and Rose (Medeiros) Dianisio.

Mrs. dos Reis was a communicant of Santo Christo Church and had worked as a Sewing Machine Operator in the Local Textile Industry. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sons: William D. dos Reis and his wife Beverly of FL & Joseph D. dos Reis and his wife Mary Joe of Swansea; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Hildalga Fernandes and Jose do Rego Dianisio.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018 at 8 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Fall River, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM at Santo Christo Church, Columbia St. Fall River, MA. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 6 - 8 PM.
