Margaret (Moniz) Correira

BRISTOL, RI…Margaret (Moniz) Correira, 95, of Tiverton passed away October 2, 2019 at Silver Creek Manor in Bristol.

She was the loving wife of the late Manuel Correira.

Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Frank Moniz Ferreira and Whilermina (Dos Reis) Ferreira.

Mrs. Correira was a communicant of St. Christopher’s Church, Tiverton. She had worked as a Sewing Machine Operator for the former Darwood Manufacturing for 31 years, retiring in 1989. She enjoyed crocheting and Johnny Cash.

Survivors include her daughter: Deborah (husband: Edward M., III) of Tiverton; her grandsons: Patrick J. Aguiar (wife: Briana Babick), Derek C. Aguiar (wife: Natasha Caitlin) and Sean K. Aguiar; her sister: Dorothy Latour; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Irene Batt, Evelyn Ferreira, William Moniz, John Ferreira and Francis Ferreira.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday, October 7, 2019 at 11 AM at Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St. Fall River, MA 02724 followed by interment at Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton. Calling hours will be held Monday from 9 – 11 AM, prior to the funeral.
