Manuel Medeiros

WESTPORT - Manuel Medeiros, 99, of Crane Ave., Westport, died Wednesday, January 18th at home. He was predeceased 2 days earlier by his wife Theresa (Moniz) Medeiros.
Born in Plymouth, MA, he was a son of the late Antone and Maria (Pacheco) Medeiros; he lived most of her life in Westport. Mr. Medeiros worked as a maintenance man for many years at the former Bristol Knitting Mills.
He is survived by nine daughters, Virginia Pelletier of Fall River, Dorothy O'Brien of Tiverton, RI; Rose Mary Cabral of Fall River, Margaret LaFleur of Swansea, MA, Theresa Williams of Fall River, Paulina Sousa of New Bedford, MA, Geraldine Wright of Fall River, Brenda Ann Salvas of Swansea, MA and Darlene Borges of Fall River; seven sons, Manuel Medeiros of Taunton, MA, John Medeiros of Westport, MA, Thomas Medeiros of Swansea, MA, Paul Medeiros of Fall River, Gerald Medeiros of Fall River, David Medeiros and Jimmy Medeiros of Westport; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the father of the late Robert Medeiros.
Calling hours Friday, January 20th from 6-9 p.m. in the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main Street, Fall River, with a Funeral Service at 8 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Hillside Cemetery, Tiverton.
