Manuel F. Jacinto, 51, of No. Easton, MA, died Monday at home after a long illness. He was the husband of Grace (Santos) Jacinto.
Born in Agua d' Alto, Vila Franca, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Antonino and Normanda (Braga) Jacinto; he came to this country in 1981.
Mr. Jacinto was a Dunkin Donuts franchisee with multiple locations in Brockton. He previously was employed for several years by Horner Millwork in Somerset.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Tania Marie Jacinto of No. Easton, MA; five sisters, Maria Oliveira, Eva Camara, Connie Farias, Manuela Calderon and Teresa Samagaio, all New Bedford, MA; two brothers, Antonio Braga Jacinto of New Bedford, MA and Tiberio Jacinto of Westport, MA; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Cremation to follow. Calling hours Thursday 5 - 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Attn: Office of Development (Melanoma Research), 330 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215.
