Manuel Fulgencio

Manuel R. Fulgencio, 81, of Fall River, formerly of Westport, passed away March 15, 2024, at Sarah Brayton Nursing Center.

    He was the loving husband of Beatrice P. (Faria) Fulgencio.

    Born in Porto Formoso, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Antonio Fulgencio and Maria da Conceicao.

    Prior to retiring, Manuel worked as a union laborer for 27 years in Local 673 and was an avid fan of S.L. Benfica. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter Mia-lynn Souza.

    Along with his wife, he is survived by his grandchildren Mia-lynn Souza and Jared Cruz; his sisters Linda Benfeito, Almarinda Pavao, and Irene Aguiar; many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Loriann Fulgencio and Scott Fulgencio, and the brother of the late Jose Lazaro, Elias Pacheco, Domingos Pacheco, Mariua Mauricio, and Maria dos Ajos Mauricio.

    His funeral will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 9:00 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Santo Christo Church, Columbia St., Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, from 4 – 8  PM.
