Manuel Jose DoMonte

Manuel J. DoMonte, 78, of 617 King St., Fall River, passed away Sunday at Charlton Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Conceicao (Ferreira) DoMonte.

Born in Mosteiros, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Jose Inacio and Maria Sofia (Pavao) DoMonte, he resided in Fall River for the past 35 years. He was a member of Good Shepherd Parish.

Mr. DoMonte worked as a custodian for many years at the former Quaker Fabrics.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Zulmira Camara (Husband Fernando) of Fall River and Fatima M. DASILVA (Husband Joseph) of Tiverton; four sons, Luis DoMonte (Wife Madalena), Valdemar DoMonte (Wife Florbela), Jose DoMonte and Marco DoMonte (Wife Jennifer), all of Fall River; a sister, Maria Jose Cabral of Fall River; 10 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Good Shepherd Parish. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation morning of funeral from 8 - 9:30 a.m.
