Manuel V. De Andrade

Manuel V. De Andrade, 88, of Fall River, passed away May 16th, 2024 at St. Anne’s Hospital, surrounded by his family.

    He was the widower of the late Maria E. De Andrade.

    Born Rabo de Peixe, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Enrique Vieira Andrade and Guilherme Andrade, and emigrated to this country in 1980. 

    Manuel worked for most of his career at the American Dryer Corporation. He was a parishioner of Espirito Santo Church and loved fishing.

    He is survived by a daughter, Maria C. Cabral (husband Jose) of Fall River; three sons, Manuel E. Andrade, Jose Andrade (wife Charlotte) of Fall River and Leonardo Andrade (wife Celia) of Somerset, MA; his sister Beatriz Estrella, of Fall River; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Inorina Andrade, Antonio Andrade, and Maria Jose Frizado.

    His funeral will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 9:00 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Espirito Santo Church, Alden St., Fall River. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Monday evening, May 20, 2024 from 4 – 8  PM.
