FALL RIVER… Manuel DaSilva also known as “Delgado”, 82, of Fall River passed away January 5, 2021 at home, surrounded by his family.
He was the loving husband of Maria Leanor (Felix) DaSilva, who he had been married to for 57 years.
Born in Candelaria, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Jose and Maria Christina (Ponte) DaSilva.
Prior to retiring, Mr. DaSilva had worked for 25 years as a custodian at Automatic Machinery in Attleboro, MA. He was a communicant of Santo Christo Parish and enjoyed fishing, farming, spending time with family, and gardening.
Survivors include his daughters: Grace Lusignan (Paul), of Pawtucket, RI and Lorena Pereira (Mariano), of Fall River; his brother: Joao DaSilva, of Canada; his grandchildren: Christopher, Christina, Brian, and Justin; 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Maria Pereira and Jose DaSilva.
Manuel’s Funeral will take place from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Fall River, MA 02721 with a Public Viewing on Friday, Jan. 8th from 8 AM to 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at which relatives and friends are invited at 10 AM at Santo Christo Parish, Columbia St. Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
