Manuel A. Carvalho

FALL RIVER… Manuel A. Carvalho, 74, passed away December 12, 2021, at Charlton Memorial Hospital, in Fall River.

He was the loving husband of Maria B. (Ventura) Carvalho, to whom he had been married to since 1973.

Manuel was born in Mosteiros, Sao Miguel, Azores. He was a son of the late Antonio Filipe Carvalho and Amilia de Jesus Pereira. Before immigrating to the United States in 1986, he had served in the Portuguese Army.

Mr. Carvalho was a family man, who always enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Manuel was very caring man, who loved helping others. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, being with his animals, and was always hands-on and liked to build things.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his children: Nuno J. Carvalho, of Fall River, Judite M. Carreiro (husband Keith), of Fall River, Joao M. Carvalho (wife Kelly), of Fall River, and Kevin V. Carvalho (fiancé Sofia), of Westport; his grandchildren: Shawn, Curtis, Travis, Autumn, Vanessa, Miranda, Madison, Ellery, and Elliot; two brothers and two sisters; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 9 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home – South Main St Chapel, 2064 South Main St. Fall River, MA 02724, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Anthony of Padua, Bedford St., Fall River. Interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, from 5 – 7 PM.
