Manuel Cadime, 79, of Fall River, died Tuesday at Highlander Rehab.and Nursing Center. He was the husband of Nancy (Vieira) Cadime.
Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of the late Augustino and Sophie (Simbro) Cadime; he was a lifelong resident of Fall River. Mr. Cadime worked as a dyer for many years.
at Duro Finishing. He was a member of the Liberal Club. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid Red Sox fan.
He was a member of St. Anne's Parish.
Besides his wife of 54 years, he is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Cadime of North Brunswick, NJ, Sandra Cadime of Fall River and Tracy Berry of Dracut, MA; a sister, Hilda Mathias of Fall River; six grandchildren, Ryan Berry, Ashley Berry, Lauren Berry, Caitlyn Berry, Marisa Berry and Noah Cadime-Gonzalez; and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Lori Cadime Berry and brother of the late Alice Figueredo, Sophie Viveiros, Anna Megna, Edward Cadime, John Cadima, Joseph Cadima and Thomas Cadima.
His funeral will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. in St. Anne's Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours morning of funeral from 9-11 a.m. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
