Manuel C. Rodgers

Manuel C. "Mac" Rodgers, 88, of Frost St., Fall River, died Thursday at Southpointe Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. He was the former husband of the late Yvette A. (Lapointe) Rodgers.

Born in Fall River, a son of the late Michael C. and Sadie (Santos) Rogers; he resided most of his life in Fall River.

Mr. Rodgers worked as a machinist for Brown & Sharp, Newport Finishing, Quaker Fabric and Aerovox Corp. until his retirement.

He is survived by two daughters, Aline Pontes of Somerset and Patricia Feno of Westport; three sons, Richard P. Rogers, Steven Rogers and Kenneth S. Rogers, all of Fall River; a sister, Sadie Amaral of Fall River; a brother, Sylvester Rogers of Tiverton; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 5 - 8 p.m. Flowers welcomed or donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
