Louise Mello

Louise (Bercier) Mello, 75, of 3200 County St., Somerset, formerly of Fall River, died Wednesday at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the wife of Robert J. Mello. The couple would have shared their 58th Wedding Anniversary on August 8th.



Born in Acton Vale, Canada; a daughter of the late Napoleon and Angeline (Jean) Bercier.



Mrs. Mello worked as a special machine operator for Center Garment and later at the St. Anne's Rectory for many years before her retirement.



She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Somerset and a former member of St. Anne's Church and also was an Eucharistic minister.



A devoted housewife, mother and grandmother she enjoyed playing bingo and cards.



Besides her husband, she is survived by 3 daughters, Vanessa Temple of Nevada; Patricia Costa and Janice Camara both of Fall River, MA; a son, Kenneth Mello of Fall River, MA; two sisters, Gisele Bosse and Gloria Duarte both of Florida; 11 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Pierrette "Helen" Camara, Jean Paul Bercier, Jean Bercier, Eyvon "Frenchie" Bercier, Theresa Durand and Andrew Bercier.



Her funeral will be held on Monday at 7:45 from the Oliveira Funeral Home 2064 South Main St. followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, Somerset. Entombment in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours Sunday 4 - 8 p.m.
