Louis Dyl

Louis Dyl, 93, of Montour Falls, NY, formerly of Fall River, died Tuesday May 27th at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Motta) Dyl.

Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of the late Joseph and Celia (Was) Dyl; he lived most of his life in Fall River until moving to New York 8 years ago.

Mr. Dyl worked as a security guard for both Hallett Security and for the Fall River School Department at B.M.C. Durfee High School. He also worked at the former J & J Corrugated Box Co. and at the former Firestone Rubber & Latex Co.

He is survived by a daughter, Sylvia Cambra (husband Alfred) of Addison, NY; a sister, Stella Dyl of Fall River; a brother, Fred Dyl of Coventry, RI; two grandchildren, Donna Cordeiro and Neil Cordeiro; two great-grandchildren, Bryce Fountain and Bryanne Sergenese; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Committal prayers and interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 4-7 p.m.
