Louis J. D'Amico

Louis J. D'Amico, 68, of Fall River, died Saturday at St. Anne's Hospital. He was the husband of Joan C. (Martin) D'Amico.

Born in Fall River, MA, a son of Mary (Pappas) D'Amico of Tiverton and the late Louis J. D'Amico, most of his adult life was spent in this city; spending his earlier years in Tiverton. He was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1961. He was a graduate of Industrial Technical Trade School in Boston. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era.

Mr. D'Amico retired this past January after 43 years from Raytheon in Middletown where he was a senior electronic technician.

He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed sailing, gardening, reading, woodworking and the beach.

Besides his loving wife of 45 years and mother, he is survived by two sons, Randall L. D'Amico of Rumford, RI and Martin L. D'Amico (Wife Jennifer) of Rehoboth, MA; a sister, Janice D'Amico (Husband Joseph) of Surprise, AZ; three grandchildren, Samantha, Alec and Jack; several nieces and nephews and several cousins..

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Good Shepherd Parish. Committal prayers and interment with military honors in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours are omitted. Arrangements are by the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St.
