Lisa M. Sousa

FALL RIVER... Lisa Marie Sousa, 63, of Fall River, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Rhode Island Hospital, in Providence.

She was the longtime partner of John Britland, to whom she was with for 36 years.

Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late Leonard Sousa and Doris (Therrien) Sousa.

Lisa was employed as a cafeteria manager at Mary L. Fonseca Elementary School, in Fall River, for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending her younger years camping with her family.

Along with her partner, she is survived by her brother Gary P. Sousa (wife Cindy) of Tarpon Springs, FL; her sister Gail Reinhagen (husband James), of East Sandwich; John’s sister Betty Sorel, of Westport; John’s mother Masuko Britland, of Westport; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late David W. Sousa.

Her visitation will be held, Wednesday, September 7th, 2022, from 9:00 - 11:00 AM, from the Oliveira Funeral Home - South Main St Chapel, 2064 South Main St., Fall River, followed by a funeral service at 11 AM, in the funeral home.
