Leo T. Briand

Leo T. Briand, 84, of Hartwell St., Fall River, formerly of Old Second St., a retired grounds man, died Thursday, Dec. 3rd. at Brandon Woods of New Bedford. He was the husband of the late Louise (Mendoza) Briand.
Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of the late Joseph N. and Edith (Montgomery) Briand; he lived most of his life in Fall River. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during Korea. Mr. Briand worked for several years at New England Power.
He is survived by three sons, Kenneth L. Briand of Warren, RI, David Briand and Allen Briand, both of Fall River; a step-son, Antone "Tony" Luz of Seekonk, MA; a sister, Eileen Perry of Fall River; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a niece.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Funeral Service on Friday, Dec. 18th at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours are omitted. Arrangements are by the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia Street.
