Leanor H. Mendonca

Leanor Helen (Mathias) Mendonca, 90, passed away Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, at All American Assisted Living, in Wareham.

    She was the widow of the late Dennis Mendonca.

    Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Manuel Mathias and Louise (Thomas) Mathias.

    Leanor was a dedicated professional, having served as the Town Accountant for Somerset before her retirement. A proud graduate with a master’s degree from Roger Williams University, she was deeply committed to both her career and her community. Outside of work, Leanor had a passion for travel, often exploring the world through various clubs she was an active member of. She enjoyed reading, spending time with close friends shopping and dining out, and most of all, cherishing moments with her beloved family. Leanor’s warm heart, adventurous spirit, and love for life left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

    Leanor is survived by her daughter Jerilyn Pittsley; her grandchildren Dylanger Pittsley, Jason Robitaille, Adam Robitaille, and Brett Robitaille; her great grandchildren Cheyenne Pittsley, Colton Pittsley, Sawyer Robitaille, and Bennet Robitaille; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Karen J. Robitaille and her sister Claudette Broullard.

    Her funeral will be held Tuesday, February 25th, 2025, at 9 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Santo Christo Church. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
