Jovina (Martin) Carvalho

FALL RIVER… Jovina (Martin) Carvalho, 87, of Fall River passed away, Monday, June 15, 2015.
She was the widow of Joao Carvalho. She was born in St. Michael, Azores a daughter of the late Joao and Maria (dos Anjos da Costa) Martin and had been in the United States since 1967.
Survivors include 5 daughters: Conceicao Cordeiro of Westport, Fatima Carvalho of FL, Elvira Cruz of Seekonk, Benilde Pavao of Fall River, Gabriela Ferriera of Fall River, 3 sons: Antone Carvalho of Fall River, Joao Carvalho of Fall River, Jose Carvalho of FL, River, 3 sisters: Francelina Martin of St. Michael, Azores, Elvira Martin of Brazil, Larina Martin of Brazil, 3 brothers: Joao Martin of St. Michael, Azores, Alfred Martin of Brazil, Antone Martin of Brazil, 21 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Luis Carvalho and the sister of the late Adriana Martin.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday at 9AM from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME , 215 Columbia Street, Fall River, Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at Good Shepherd Parish, South Main Street, Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6 - 9 PM.
