Joseph Mauricio, 74, of Washington St., Fall River, died Tuesday at St. Anne's Hospital. He was the husband of Denyse (Hill) Mauricio.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Tobias and Irene (Silva) Mauricio, he resided in Fall River for the past 61 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, watching soccer and collecting movies.
Mr. Mauricio retired from the Paul A. Dever State School after 17 years of employment.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Mauricio of Taunton, Jodie (Mauricio) Martin of Acushnet and Jennifer Terrao of Fall River; three sons, Scott Mauricio, Kevin Mauricio and John Terrao, all of Taunton; two sisters, Mary Bertrand and Marie Solomitto, both of Somerset, MA; four grandchildren, Kassydi, Jewelianah, Mackayla and Austin; a godson, Ernest Mendonca; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his beloved dog Jazmine. He was the grandfather of the late Mackenzie.
His Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. in the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
