Joseph Enos, Jr.

Joseph Enos, Jr., 84, of Tiverton, RI, a retired mechanic and custodian, died Friday at home. He was the husband of the late Juanita (Welchman) Enos.

Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of the late Joseph and Rose (Moniz) Enos; he lived most of his life in Tiverton. He served as a Sgt. in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Enos was employed for many years by the Town of Tiverton Public Schools as a custodian at the High School and in the family business as a mechanic at the former Enos Gulf Station of Fall River.

He is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Thornsbury (husband Steven) of Tiverton; three sons, Joseph Enos (wife Beverly) of Portsmouith, RI, Randall Enos (wife Doreen) of Tiverton and Daniel Enos (wife Diane) of Tiverton; a son-in law, Paul Abrantes; five sisters, Irene Cordeiro of Dighton, Shirley Raposa of Swansea, Connie Medeiros of Fall River, Barbara Almeida (husband Claude) of Tiverton and Beverly Fernandes (husband Paul) of Fall River; two brothers, Manuel Enos (wife Judith) of Tiverton and William Enos (wife Cindy) of Tiverton; nine grandchildren, Eric Abrantes (wife Carolyn), Alyson Sanders (husband David), Amanda Forte (husband Vince), Aaron Thornsbury, Mallory Thornsbury, Randall Enos, Daniel, Enos, Benjamin Enos and Hannah Enos; a great-grandchild, Levid Enos; and several nieces and nephews. He was the companion of Margie Almeida. He was the father of the late Debra Lee Abrantes and the brother of the late Doris Enos.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St. Interment in Pocasset Hill Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 5-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, Founders Affiliate, P.O.
