Jose S. Soares

Jose S. Soares, 92, of Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River, formerly of Beach St., died Friday at the home. He was the husband of the late of Rosalina (Reis ) Soares.

Born in Mosteiros, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Jose S. and Angelina (Dias) Soares, he lived in Fall River since 1969 and was a member of Santo Christo Church. Mr. Soares worked as an assistant machine operator at Plymouth Rubber in Canton.

He is survived by two daughters, Lucia R. Ferreira (Husband Jose) of Fall River and Maria C. Gamboa (Husband Eduardo) of Fall River; a son, Jose M. Soares (Wife Lizette) of Fall River; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Francisco Soares, Maria C. Silva and Manuel Soares

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 5-8 p.m.
