Jose F. Rego

FALL RIVER… Jose F. Rego, 69, of Fall River passed away at St. Anne’s Hospital surrounded by his family on Tuesday, July 7, 2020.

He was the husband of Maria (Lima) Rego.

Mr. Rego was born in Capelas, St. Michael, Azores a son of the late Francisco and Maria (Sousa) Rego.

Prior to retiring, Jose was employed as a landscaper. He was a Benfica fan and also enjoyed watching cop shows and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Along with his wife, survivors include his son: Victor Rego of Fall River, his daughters: Elisabete Averill (husband: Jeffery) and Helia Ferreira (husband: Marc) both of Fall River, his grandchildren: Jordan, Braydan, Kiana, and Makenna, several siblings, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday at 9:30 A.M. at the Oliveira Funeral Home – Columbia St. Chapel, 215 Columbia Street, Fall River followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at Santo Christo Parish, Fall River, MA.  Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.  Calling hours will be Friday, prior to the service, from 8:00 – 9:30 A.M.
