Jose Cabral

Jose Cabral, 64, of Fall River, died Sunday at home. He was the husband of Maria (Martins) Cabral.

Born in Feteiras do Sul, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Jose and Jorgina Cabral; he lived in this city for the past 38 years and was a member of Santo Christo Church.

Mr. Cabral was a former laborer for 15 years with Mc Court Construction, So. Boston, MA. He was a longtime member of the Fall River Sports Club and an avid Benfica fan.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Joseph M. Cabral, Michael M. Cabral and Kevin M. Cabral, all of Fall River; three sisters, Luisa De Costa and Daluz Benevides, both of Toronto, Canada and Gilda Sousa of Cumberland, RI; a brother, Joao Cabral of Canada; two granddaughters, Hailey Marie Cabral and Alexis Payton Cabral; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Manuel Cabral.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 6-8 p.m.
