Jonathan P. Durfee

Jonathan P. Durfee, 24, of Fall River, formerly of Somerset, died Tuesday at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Fall River, MA, a son of Ernest A. Durfee, Jr. of Fall River and Elaine (Viveiros) Durfee of Somerset; he lived most of his life in Somerset.

He formerly worked for 5 years at Shaw's Supermarket in Fall River. He enjoyed gardening, college football and fireworks. Jonathan was loved by his Many friends and family.

Besides his mother and father, he is survived by a sister, Jenna Durfee of Somerset; a brother, Jared M. Durfee of Fall River, formerly of Somerset; his maternal grandmother, Mary (Pacheco) Viveiros of Fall River; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy (Griffault) Durfee of Tiverton; several aunts and uncles; and cousins. He also leaves his dog Sophia.

His funeral will be held Monday at 8:45 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Dominic Church, Swansea. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 4 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the poor among us, Attn: Fr.
