John E. Pacheco

FALL RIVER… John E. Pacheco, 75, of Fall River passed away April 26, 2021 at St. Anne’s Hospital.

He was the loving husband of Sandra (Furtado) Pacheco, to whom he had been married to since 1967.

Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Botelho) Pacheco.

Before retiring, Mr. Pacheco worked as a Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service in Westport, for 27 years, and prior as a Presser at the former Darwood Manufacturing. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was an avid New York Yankees Fan. He also enjoyed working on his house, his fishpond, going on vacations, and most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Along with his wife, survivors include his sons John (wife Tracie) Pacheco and Joseph (wife Melissa) Pacheco, both of Fall River; his daughters Kathleen (husband Timothy) Cabral and Kristie (husband Steven) Johnson, both of Somerset; his brothers James Pacheco, of Westport, Leonard “Charles” Pacheco, of South Carolina, and Thomas Pacheco, of North Carolina; his sisters Elizabeth Souza and Joyce Cabral, both of Fall River; his grandchildren Christopher, Emily, Timothy, Jonathan, Cameron, Matthew, Seth, Grace, Luke, and Troy; several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Joseph Pacheco and Jefferey Pacheco.

Private funeral services are under the direction of the Oliveira Funeral Homes. A public memorial mass will be announced at a later date.
