John P. Aguiar

John P. Aguiar, 78, of Fall River, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, in Fall River.

Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late John P. Aguiar and Lydia (Pimental) Aguiar.

John was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked for most of his life as a truck driver, and even after retiring he continued to truck part time. In his free time, John enjoyed operating his HAM radio, playing 500 rummy, chatting at the donut shop, quick runs to the casino, and meals with loved ones.

Survivors include his daughter, Deborah Rollings (Stephen), of Tiverton, RI; his sister Eileen Leander, of Middletown, RI; his grandchildren Lauren Kujawa (Jonathan) and Samantha Rollings (Jack); several nieces and nephews; long-time companion Annette Bibeau. He was the father of the late Robert Aguiar and the brother of the late Lydia Branco.

His funeral will be held Saturday, February 19, at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home – South Main St Chapel, 2064 South Main St., Fall River, MA, followed by a service in the funeral home at 9 a.m. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 - 8 p.m.
