FALL RIVER - Jesse J. Bertholde, 75, of Tiverton, RI, died Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Maureen (Silvia) Bertholde.
Born in Fall River, MA, he was the son of the late Jesse C. and Juliette (Souza) Bertholde; he lived in Tiverton for the past 53 years. He served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard.
Mr. Bertholde owned and operated the former J.B. Driving Academy for over 20 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Fr. J. Boehr Council in Tiverton where he hosted karaoke on Friday nights. He loved singing and socializing with his many friends. He was a past member of the Fall River Antique Club.
He was a communicant of Holy Ghost Church and a former member of its church choir.
Besides his wife of 52 years, he is survived by his beloved sister, Bonnie (Bertholde) McClendon of Parkville, Maryland; and many friends. He was the brother of the late Michael Bertholde.
His funeral will be held Monday, January 15, 2018 at 9 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Judson Street, Tiverton. Interment in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Main Road, Tiverton.
