Jason Hughes

Jason E. Hughes, 55, of Westport, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at his home.

   He was the partner of Laurie Hammontree.

   Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, he was a son of Wilson Hughes and Laura Scott.

   Jason worked as a delivery driver in the retail wine and spirits industry. He was also a longtime employee of the Liberal Club and St. Michael's Restaurant in Fall River, where he made lifelong friendships. As a proud member of the Liberal Club, Jason cherished the bonds he built over the years. Outside of work, Jason found peace and joy in his garden, where he nurtured both plants and his spirit. A lover of craft beers, he enjoyed exploring local breweries and sharing a pint with friends.

   Along with Laurie and his parents, Jason is survived by his sister Lila Scott. He was predeceased by his brother Nicholas Scott

   His funeral services are private.
