James Amaral

James Amaral, 80, of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 26th, 2023, at his home.

He was the loving husband of Dolores M. (Beland) Amaral.

Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Frank Amaral and Rose (Andrade) Amaral.

Prior to retiring, James worked for most of his career as a boiler operator at Bristol Community College, and was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of the Holy Ghost Club, in Westport, and enjoyed hunting and going dancing with his wife at the Tiverton VFW.

Along with his wife, James is survived by his brothers George Amaral and Antone Amaral, his sister Pauline Boutin, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Shirley.

A visitation will be held Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Oliveira Funeral Home - South Main St. Chapel, 2064 South Main St., from 4 - 7 PM. Military Honors will be presented at 5 PM in the funeral home.
