Irondina "Dina" (Brilhante) Terceira, 89, of Fall River, died Thursday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph E. Terceira.
Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Manuel and Innocenia (Cabral) Brilhante, she was a lifelong resident of this city.
Mrs. Terceira worked as a machine operator for the former Jody-Sue Manufacturing for many years retiring in 1982.
She was a member of the 178 Retiree Club and also a member of the International Ladies Garment Worker's Union, now U.N.I.T.E.
She is survived by a son, Stephen Terceira (wife Sheila Barrett) of Fall River, a sister, Sarah Avilla of Fall River; a brother, Seraphin Brilhante of Fall River; four grandchildren, Lynne Pevide, Michael Terceira, Dina Swanson and Thomas Proc, 7 great-grandchildren, a son-in-law, Thomas Proc and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Judith Proc and sister of the late Manuel, Antone, Joseph and Mary Brilhante and mother-in-law of the late Anne Marie Terceira.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Thomas Street. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are omitted. Arrangements are by the Oliveira Funeral Home 2064 South Main St.
