Inez Pereira

Inez (Janeiro) Pereira, 84, of Fall River, died Sunday at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Manuel V. Pereira.

Born in Porto Formoso, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Jose T. and Elvira (Benefeito) Janeiro; she lived in this city since 1969 and was a member of Santo Christo Church. Mrs. Pereira worked as a sewing machine operator at the former Rondo Knit Sportswear, retiring in 1988.

She is survived by a sister, Maria J. Mimoso (Husband Antonio) of Fall River; two brothers, Joao B. Janeiro and Jeronimo B. Janeiro, both of St. Michael, Azores; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 8 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday 5 - 8 p.m.
