Ida Brown

Ida (Silvia) Brown, 97, of Country Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 2045 G.A.R. Highway, Swansea, formerly of Hope St., Fall River, died Tuesday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Adelino T. Brown.

Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late Casemiro and Maria Rosa Silvia, she was a lifelong resident of the city. She was a member of Santo Christo Church.

Mrs. Brown worked as a sewing machine operator for many years in the garment industry.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Douglas Brown and Kenneth Brown; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Adelino T. Brown and sister of the late Mary Pavao, Agnes de Campos, Olive Silvia, Casemiro Silvia and Tony Silvia.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
