Gregory A. Cruz

Gregory A. Cruz, 64, of Somerset passed away May 9, 2022, at Charlton Memorial Hospital, in Fall River.

Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Arthur Cruz, Sr. and Anna (Benevides) Cruz.

Prior to retiring, Gregory worked in materials handling at Charlton Memorial Hospital, for 35 years. He lived for little league baseball and was a coach at Maplewood Park for many years. He also enjoyed going on bus trips to casinos.

Survivors include his brothers Arthur Cruz, Jr. (wife Geraldine), and Manuel Cruz, both of Fall River; his sister Dorothy Cruz, of Fall River; his nephew Keith Cruz (wife Erica); his great nieces Lydia Lee and Aliza Beth; his great nephew Eric.

A visitation will be held Friday, May 13, from 9 – 10 AM, from the Oliveira Funeral Home – South Main St Chapel, 2064 South Main St., Fall River, MA 02724 followed by a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 10 AM. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
