Gil Cabral, 75, of Fall River, a retired heavy equipment operator, died Saturday unexpectedly at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of the late Gil Cabral, Sr. and Mary (Viveiros) Cabral; he was a lifelong resident of Fall River. He Cabral served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Cabral was known for his outgoing personality and throughout his neighborhood as the go to guy willing to lend anyone a hand. He will be sadly missed by his neighbors.
Mr. Cabral worked for the International Union of Operating Engineers - Local 4 for many years.
He is survived by a sister, Kathleen Seridonio of No. Dartmouth, MA; four brothers, David Cabral of Fall River, John Cabral of Swansea, MA, James Cabral of Olathe, Kansas and Stephen Cabral of Fall River; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Edward Cabral.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St. Committal prayers and interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 4-7 p.m.
