Georgiana Pacheco

Georgina (da Costa) Pacheco, 95, of The Highlander, 1748 Highland Ave., formerly of Robeson St., died Monday at the center. She was the wife of the late Luis de Sousa Pacheco.

Born in Maia, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Jose Valerio and Deolinda Moniz, she emigrated to this country in 1960. She was a member of Santo Christo Church.

Mrs. Pacheco worked as a machine operator for many years in the local garment industry, retiring in 1980.

She is survived by three daughters, Brasilina Pacheco and Emily Medeiros, both of Westport, MA and Espirito Pacheco of Swansea, MA; two sons, Jose Pacheco of Florida and Louis Pacheco of Freetown, MA; a brother, Jose Valerio of Fall River; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Manuel Pacheco and was predeceased by 6 siblings.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday 7 - 9 p.m.
