George Rodrigues

FALL RIVER…George Rodrigues, 76, of Fall River, MA, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, in Providence, RI.

Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Bento and Mary (Pavao) Rodrigues.

George served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era and received a honorable discharge.

George worked as a carpenter in the construction industry, building one of the areas first solar assisted houses, and upon retirement worked as a maintenance man at the PAL in Fall River. He enjoyed fishing, discussing politics, and playing the lottery.

Survivors include his children: Richard Rodrigues (wife: Heather) of Treasure Island, FL, and Traci Mathias (husband: Ted) of Fall River; his siblings: Barbara Souza and Frances Lilliston, both of Fall River; his granddaughters Kayla Rodrigues and Ava Mathias, and Greatgrandson, Gavyn Mello, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Alice Telles, Margaret Silvia, James Rodrigues, Bento Rodrigues, Jr., Dorothy Dias, and Robert Rodrigues.

Private graveside service with military honors will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
