George F DeMello

FALL RIVER…George F. DeMello, 70 of Fall River passed away September 22, 2019 at Kimwell Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Manuel and Mary (Carvalho) DeMello.

Mr. DeMello was a communicant of St. Madeleine Sophie Parish in Tiverton. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and above all, spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughters: Raynette DeMello, Crystal St. Pierre and Lisa DaCosta; his former wife and companion: Linda (Young) DeMello; his sisters: Dorothy Gordon, Beverly Mello, Margaret Atkinson, Patricia Mello and Cathy McCreedy; his brother: Francis “Butch” DeMello; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 11 siblings.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 6 - 9 PM at St. John's Club Hall, 1365 Rodman St. Fall River, MA 02721. In lieu of flowers, donations for the family can be made to Oliveira Funeral Home., 215 Columbia St. Fall River, MA 02721 to assist with final expenses.
