Frank N. Wheelock, Sr.

FALL RIVER... Frank N. Wheelock, Sr., 57, of Fall River, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022, at St. Anne’s Hospital, in Fall River.

He was the longtime companion of Rita Robidoux, to whom he was with for 40 years.

Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of Aline (Rogers) Pontes (husband Robert J. Pontes) and the late Francis N. Wheelock.

Frank was a hard worker and spent the majority of his career as a transmission mechanic at Safeguard Transmissions. He was also a member of the Watuppa Boat Club, in Westport, for 39 years. Frank lived for the weekend and enjoyed boating, fishing, watching the Patriots, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends.

Along with his companion, mother, and stepfather, Frank is survived by his son Frank N. Wheelock, Jr. (partner Cassie Whenhold), of Seekonk. He was the brother of the late Robert J. Pontes.

His visitation will be held, Saturday, September 24th, 2022, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM, from the Oliveira Funeral Home - South Main St Chapel, 2064 South Main St., Fall River, followed by a funeral service at 4 PM, in the funeral home.
