Filomena (Paiva) Ventura

FALL RIVER… Filomena (Paiva) Ventura, 63, of Fall River passed away June 8, 2022, at St. Anne’s Hospital.

She was the loving companion of Jose Branco and wife of the late Hildeberto J. Ventura.

Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Manuel G. Paiva and Maria D. Paiva.

Prior to retiring, Filomena was employed as a clerk in the Fall River School Department, for over 30 years. She loved cross-stitching, sewing, and most of all, spending time with her family and raising her grandson, Kane.

Survivors include her daughter Kendra Rodriguez (husband Alfonso), of Fall River; her son Neil Ventura (fiancé Ashley Barbosa), of Fall River; her sisters Dina Mello (husband George), of New Bedford, and Natalie P. Thibault, of Fall River; her grandson Kane; her nephews Marshall Silva (companion Jen Mila) and Daniel Mello; her grandnephew Vincent.

Her funeral will be held Monday, June 13, at 8:00 AM, from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., Fall River,followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 AM at Santo Christo Church, Columbia St., Fall River. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Sunday night, from 4 – 7 PM.

Mask wearing will be required during the services.
