Fernando Raposo Medeiros

FALL RIVER… Fernando R. Medeiros, 87, of Fall River passed away December 20, 2020 at St. Anne’s Hospital.

He was the loving husband of the late Maria De Pas (Santos) Medeiros.

Born in St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Virginio Raposo Medeiros and Belmira Soares Medeiros. He had moved to Fall River in 1968.

Mr. Medeiros had worked for many years at the former Highpointe Paperbox in Fall River. He was a communicant of Santo Christo Parish and had enjoyed making wine and sitting on his front porch smoking his cigars. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family. His favorite times were when his family was all together,  especially the grandkids.

Survivors include his children: Joseph Medeiros of Fall River, Paul Medeiros of Fall River, Steven Medeiros (wife Brenda) of Newburyport  and Kimberly Medeiros of Fall River; his grandchildren: Jaden, Madison, Mackenzie and Alaijah; many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Nelson Medeiros and was preceded in death by several siblings.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, December 26th at 8:00 AM from Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Fall River, MA 02721 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Santo Christo Parish, Columbia St. Fall River. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 8 AM to 9:30 AM, prior to Mass.
