Evaristo Boleates

FALL RIVER… Evaristo Boleates, 86, of Fall River, passed away January 5, 2022, at Good Samaritan Medical Center, in Brockton.

He was the loving husband of Maria Conceicao (Sousa) Boleates.

Evaristo was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, a son of the late Manuel Boleates and Filomena Da Costa.

Prior to retiring, Mr. Boleates worked as a machine operator most recently at American Dryer, in Fall River, and prior at the former American Tourist, in Bristol. He was a parishioner of Santo Christo Church.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Gabriela Barros (husband Mike), of Whitman, MA, Lucy Ponte (husband Dennis), Natalie Nichols (husband Kevin), and Grace Cabral (husband Gary), all of Fall River; his sons: Joe Boleates (wife Diane), Milton Boleates (wife Maria), Nelson Boleates (wife Sidonia), and Donny Boleates (wife Maria), all of Fall River; 18 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at 8 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Fall River, MA 02721, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM at Santo Christo Church, Columbia St., Fall River. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will Monday from 5 – 8 PM.

At the request of the family, masks and social distancing will be required for the services. Please pay your respects online, if you are feeling ill.
