Elizabeth (Amaral) Lavoie

FALL RIVER… Elizabeth (Amaral) Lavoie, 78, of Fall River, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 at Rhode Island Hospital, in Providence, RI.

She was the widow of the late Richard Leo Lavoie.

Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Amaral and Georgianna (Rodrigues) Amaral.

Prior to retiring, Elizabeth was employed as a teacher’s assistant for People Incorporated. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, going on casino day trips, shopping from QVC, going out with her girlfriends, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Survivors include her son Michael Lavoie and daughter-in-law Kimberly of Fall River; her brother Joseph Amaral, Jr. and his wife Janice, of Fall River; her granddaughters, Lindsey Bisbano and her husband Jonathan, Kelsey Oliveira and her husband Jeremy, and grandson, Michael Lavoie; her four great-grandchildren Hunter Bisbano, Ellie Oliveira, Logan Bisbano, and Nora Oliveira, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Delores Cambra and Lucille Roy.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 9 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home - South Main St. Chapel, 2064 South Main Street, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at Holy Trinity Church, 951 Stafford Road, Fall River. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 - 7 PM.
