Edward S. Paulino, 84, of Fall River, died Wednesday at home. He was the husband of the late Josephine (Simbro) Paulino.
Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of the late Manuel S. and Virginia S. (Domingos) Paulino; he was a lifelong resident of this city and a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during WW II. He was the current commander of the V.F.W., Woodrow L. Silvia Post 5392 in Tiverton. He also was a past commander and quartermaster at the post.
Mr. Paulino retired from Duro Textile where he worked for many years. He previously was employed by and served as vice president of Solano Aircraft Service in Vacaville, CA. He also worked part-time at Jeffrey M. Schenker Certified Public Accountant.
He was a communicant of Holy Ghost Church.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Kathleen V. Oliveira (Husband John L.) of Swansea, MA; a sister, Juliette Douglas (Husband Harold) of Somerset, MA; a brother, James Paulino of Sacramento, CA; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Soares (Husband Manuel) of Somerset, MA; two grandsons; John E. Oliveira and Kyle E. Oliveira; a devoted niece, Judith Almeida of Fall River; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Antone Paulino, John Paulino, William Paulino, Mary Mosteiro and Isabel Carreira.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Tiverton. Committal prayers and interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 4-9 p.m.
