He was the loving husband of Margaret A. (Terceiro) Medeiros, who he had been married to since 1966.
Eddie was born and raised in Fall River, the son of the late Edward M. Medeiros and Ermelinda (Serodio) Medeiros. He was a proud 1961 graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School and loved attending the reunions every five years.
Prior to retiring, he was a tractor-trailer driver for Teamsters Local #251, drove over a million miles without an accident. He drove all over Southeastern New England but enjoyed his Cape Cod route, especially Provincetown. He loved the Portuguese bakery on Commercial St., for their melt in your mouth, malasadas.
Eddie served in the United States Army National Guard, during the Vietnam Era. He was a Sergeant E5 in Company D. 109th Signal Battalion upon Honorable discharge, September 17,1969.
He loved riding his 1988 Custom Softail Harley Davidson, especially where he didn't have to wear a helmet. He liked his hair long and flowing in the wind. He always wore cowboy boots and didn't own a pair of shoes. He was a former member of the Westport Big Boar and Dartmouth Minuteman HOG Chapters.
He was a die-hard New York Football Giants fan and a Cleveland Indians fan. Many years ago, he played baseball on the Italian Progressive Club team in Fall River and with group that called themselves Club 30.
He was the proud father of his daughter Deborah Medeiros-Monteiro (Marcus) and son Dean E. Medeiros (Julia). He adored his granddaughter Tori, grandson Xavier, great-grandsons Carmine and Angelo, and great-granddaughter Audrey. He loved animals and missed his dog Willie and cat Beauty.
