Eduardo J. Lima, 78, of Aetna St., passed away Monday at Southpointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Graziela (Cordeiro) Lima.
Born in Arrifes, St. Michael, Azores, a son of the late Antone and Ludovina (Pontes) Lima; he resided in Fall River for the past 53 years and was a member of Good Shepherd Parish.
Mr. Lima worked for many years for the Carpenters Union Local 1305, working at such places and projects as Brayton Point, Montaup Electric Company, Bristol Community College, Southeastern Massachusetts University, various department stores and supermarkets. While in the old country, he belonged to the carpenter's guild.
He was a member of the Liberal Club, the Fall River Elks and Club Madeirense.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Antone Lima of Fall River and Edward Lima (Wife Fran) of Fall River; 2 grandchildren, Mitchel Lima and Zachary Lima.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Good Shepherd Parish. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation morning of funeral 8:00 - 9:30 a.m.
