Duarte M. Cabral

Duarte M. Cabral, 67, of Fall River, died Monday. He was the loving husband of Maria A. (Tavares) Cabral. Born in Feteiras do Sul, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel and Jorgina (Damassa) Cabral. He worked as a yarn handler for 12 years at the former Quaker Fabric. He was an avid soccer fan.

Besides his wife, he leaves his beloved daughters and sons, Esmeralda Cabral, Margaret Jesus, Natalie Carreiro, Fernando Cabral and James Cabral; a sister, Ana Maria Sebastiao; a brother, Fernando Cabral; 8 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jaime Cabral.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 7:30 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 8:30 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 6 - 8 p.m.
