Dorothy Medeiros

Dorothy (Oliveira) Araujo Medeiros, 94, of Lowell, MA, formerly of Fall River, a retired garment worker, died Sunday at Town & Country Health Care Center in Lowell. She was the wife of the late John Araujo and Alvin Medeiros.

Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late Christian and Florence (Simao) Oliveira; she moved to Lowell in 2000.

She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Young (husband Bob) of Lowell; three grandchildren, Catherine Kendig of Tewksbury, Jennifer Walsh (husband Paul) of Lowell and John Donohue of Lowell; five great-grandchildren, Amanda, Chris, Tim, Shannon and James; two great-great-grandchildren, Michaela and Matthew; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Silva, Christian Oliveira, Abel Novo and Lawrence Novo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Monday at 11 a.m. in the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation morning of funeral prior to service 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
