Donald G. Martin

Donald G. Martin, 79, of Little Compton, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012.

Born in Fall River, a son of the late Adelbert and Dorothy (Wilbur) Martin. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After leaving the army, he worked as a boatwright at Stur-Dee Boat Company in Tiverton and later at Cove Haven Marina in Barrington, RI.

He was a lover of nature and an avid reader and a baseball fan. He loved dogs and spending time building wooden ship models. He had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Jennifer Martin of Little Compton, RI and his step-children, Carole Quigley of Fall River, Sharon Senna of Southlake, TX and Sean Quigley of Little Compton, RI and his former wife, Elizabeth Martin of Fall River and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Phillip Martin, Adelbert Martin and David Martin.
